Becoming a doctor who specializes in Orthopedics and Traumatology through an academic approach is not the only thing carried out by the Orthopedic and Traumatology Study Program at Udayana University. While studying at Orthopedic Udayana, non-academic activities such as sports extracurricular while undergoing routine education are carried out. Not only residents, supervisors are also very  enthusiastic participating in this activity which is routinely held 1-2 times a week. All of these activities are routinely carried out in order to provide more space for each resident to develop talents, hobbies, creativity and build friendships between residents and supervisors, other study programs or with other orthopedic centers. The sports that are routinely carried out including cycling, futsal, basketball, table tennis, badminton, and E-sports.

The Covid-19 pandemic that has hit the world for more than two years has made many changes to the education process, including the impact on sports extracurricular. The enthusiasm of residents to continue to develop their hobbies in sports extracurricular has not subsided despite the Covid-19 pandemic. The role of sport extracurricular activities is very important, especially in the current Covid-19 pandemic, every resident who is studying requires a prime body and mental condition to be able to carry out learning activities while in study program. Due to the risk of Covid-19 transmission during sports extracurricular activities, strict implementation of health protocols such as physical distancing, the use of masks and hand sanitizers in some sports extracurricular activities is carried out to reduce the risk of exposure to Covid-19.

Not only as a place for sharing hobbies and creativity, the Udayana Orthopedic sports extracurricular team has also made achievements and awards both at local and national event. Several sports championship have been participated by the Udayana Orthopedic team and have succeeded in presenting champion titles. All the achievements that have been achieved are the result of the hard work and commitment of the team. All the prayers and support from the supervisors and residents are the most important part for the Udayana Orthopedic team when they are going to have a match. Preparations have been made to prepare for the next competitions both at the local and national events.
