Cycling extraculicular
Denpasar, the Orthopedic and Traumatology Specialist Study Program is not only active in the field of Education but is also active in non-academic activities such as bicycle extracurricular activities. This activity is to develop the personality, talents, and interests of students in various fields outside the academic field. In other words, extracurricular activities bridge the different and diverse developmental needs of students.
This bicycle extra-curricular activity is chaired by dr. I Wayan Suryanto Dusak, Sp.OT (K), Dr. dr. Made Bramantya Karna, Sp.OT (K) and coordinated by resident dr. Kris Adi Marta and attended by all residents of Orthopedics and Traumatology, Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University. Extra bicycles are held outside of education hours, namely on Saturday or Sunday mornings. Generally, the activity starts at 06.00 by gathering at the gathering point, which is around Renon Denpasar.
These bicycle extracurricular activities generally use road bikes, ranging from local to international brands. Of course this activity has a positive goal, namely getting a healthier physical quality but at the same time getting refreshment towards an interesting destination. Examples are Ubud and Jimbaran.
The destination location for this cycling activity starts from the coffee shop or the beautiful nature that is on this island of the gods. Not once felt disappointed in this activity. Of course every activity has risks along the way. That is a traffic accident. Therefore, orthopedic and traumatology residents always prepare some equipment for cycling activities, namely: evacuation cars, first aid kits and bicycle repair tools.
