Admission of Specialist Doctor Education Program SP-1 Orthopaedics and Traumatology in 2022

The Orthopedic and Traumatology Specialist Academic Program, Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University has re-opened new student registrations for the Odd semester of the 2022/2023 Academic Year.

The new student admissions period is divided into several descriptions of activities starting from online registration on February 15 – March 15, 2022. Followed by the announcement of the results of the administrative selection on March 18, 2022. Followed by a Health Test conducted on March 21-25, 2022. Followed by the implementation of the English Test and TPA on April 2-3 as well as the Basic Competency Test and Interview which are scheduled by each Study Program. Participants can only continue to the test stage if they pass the Health test.

The registration requirements start from registering by filling out biodata on the ubk.unud.ac.id website, followed by payment of a registration,  have carried out at least 2 doses of Covid-19 vaccination, must include the results of the 2 days before Antigen Swab or 7 days before PCR results before the UTBK implementation. And not suffering from active pulmonary TB, not color blind and not drug users.

In the previous exam period, in August 2021, Udayana University has held a State University Entrance Selection. In this acceptance, Udayana University accepts specialist students. In a series of admissions selection tests for new students of the Orthopedic and Traumatology Specialist Study Program, Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University.

The Orthopaedic and Traumatology Study Program, Faculty of Medicine – Udayana University has been established since 2008, which began with the establishment of the Orthopedic and Traumatology SMF which was formed by 5 founding fathers on March 25, 2006. This academic program continues to grow and received its first accreditation with an A grade by LAM-PTKes in 2017. Regular organizational structure, competent teachers supported by good facilities and infrastructure. Make this academic program a superior one. And can produce Orthopedic doctors who can devote their services to Indonesia. So that the selection to enter this study program is very strict with many stages that prospective participants must go through.

Prospective participants will start by registering online to the Udayana University website, by uploading all the required documents. Once registered, the file will be verified. The first stage of the selection is the administrative selection, where the first selection is carried out by the University Academic Party regarding the completeness and authenticity of the data uploaded by each participant. After going through the administrative selection, proceed to the next stage, namely the Academic Potential Test and English which is held by the Udayana University Academic Division on a computer-based basis. Especially for prospective participants who choose the Specialist Medical Education Program-1, the Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory (MMPI) test is carried out which aims to determine the personality of the candidate for specialist education.

In the selection of the Specialist Study Program, a Basic Ability Test and Interview will be conducted by the Department internally. The Basic Proficiency Test includes multiple choice and essay exams. Orthopedic and Traumatology Study Program with Dr. dr. IGN Wien Aryana, Sp.OT (K) as the coordinator gave a multiple choice test of 50 questions with a time of 50 minutes and 5 questions with an allocation of 5 minutes per question.

Each participant takes the exam well and neatly and is required to use a mask and face shield in the implementation, which of course previously provided that the SARS-CoV-2 Swab-PCR result was negative. The Basic Competency Test in the Orthopedic and Traumatology Study Program will be held on Friday, October 29, 2021. And the Interview Test will be held on Monday, November 1, 2021.

In the TKD exam, participants enter one room, wearing protective gear in accordance with the COVID-19 protocol. Supervision is carried out strictly to reduce the risk of cheating by examinees. The exam is continued with an interview exam, where the examinee will undergo an interview exam with three teaching staff in the fields of Orthopaedics and Traumatology. The Interview Exam lasted for 30 minutes with a variety of questions as well as psychomotor tests in performing minor surgical techniques with props / mannequins.
